Tri-Trained Swimming drills
If you are new to swimming or returning after a break, we have a structured 4-step approach to help you understand the front crawl stroke. This step-by-step process will give you a solid foundation before moving on to more specific drills with your coach to address any minor issues.
In step 1 we focus on achieving optimal body alignment, balance, and buoyancy in water, emphasizing horizontal position, head-spine alignment, comfortable floating, and gliding.
In Step 2, we refine your front crawl breathing technique, synchronizing breaths with arm movements, including head-turning for breathing and exhaling underwater.
In step 3 we focus on mastering the arm stroke technique. This includes the catch, pull, and recovery phases, coordinating arm movement efficiently with breathing during swimming.
The final stage combines acquired skills into a fluid front crawl stroke. Emphasis is on smoothness, efficiency, and relaxed body positioning while swimming.
